Loading-bay: Traffic is one-way on the public highway, with an interface for the beam hoist, goods hoist, and tower crane. Vehicles stop during lifting operations.

 

Challenges: Pedestrians, vehicles backed up onto Oxford Street, and Tower crane lifts require all vehicle movements to be stopped.

Challenges: Pedestrians from Bank station walking to the city, cyclists, Bus stop relocation, Tower crane lifts requiring all vehicle movements to be stopped, Public Events, and works opposite the Bank of England.

Constraints: £25m Fitout in 25 weeks, Insufficient time for deliveries in and waste out

Loading-bay: Restricted turning, blind corners, Access restrictions. Mud transfer to the public highway. Pedestrians crossing the site entrance.

 

Challenges: Vehicles on the public highway are moving at speed in the blind corner where the entrance to the loading bay is. Height restrictions under the rail bridge and vehicles not following designated delivery routes. Insufficient hardcore due to soil contaminations etc
